Scouting is fun with a purpose!

Cub Scouting is a program established by the Boy Scouts of America for boys in Grades One through Five.  In Cub Scouting, boys, families, adult leaders and organizations work together for the purpose of:
  • Helping build character and encouraging spiritual growth.
  • Developing habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
  • Encouraging good sportsmanship and price in growing strong in mind and body.
  • Improving understanding within the family.
  • Strengthening the ability to get along with other boys and respect other people.
  • Fostering a sense of person achievement by developing new interests and skills.
  • Showing how to be helpful and to do one's best.
  • Preparing them to become Boy Scouts.
For some great information about Cub Scouting, particularly from the perspective of parents, check out the Scout Parents Website.

History

Cub Scout Pack 112 of White Bear Lake, Minnesota is chartered by First Lutheran Evangelical Church as part of its Scouting outreach program and our Pack was founded in 1956.  Cub Scout Pack 112 is part of the Many Waters Scouting District and the Northern Star Council as part of the larger national organization of Boy Scouts of America.  Although First Lutheran Evangelical Church is our home, all boys in the surrounding area in Kindergarten through 5th grades are welcome to join.

We are an active, caring group of families, dedicated to helping our sons grow in character, citizenship and faith.  We firmly believe in the Scouting spirit, and the ideals of "fun with a purpose."  You will find us not just at Pack and Den meetings, but on outings that promote the Purposes of Scouting; projects that serve our community; and activities that promote awareness of our responsibility and appreciation of the world around us.

Pack 112 has a history of being an award winning pack.  Our Pack awards include:
  • Centennial Quality Unit Award
  • Quality Unit Award
  • Honor Unit
We hope each of our Scouts will continue to advance in the Scouting program not just because it is fun but to continue on their path of learning about themselves, their families, others, God, their country and the spirit of Scouting to become leaders in their community.
